DP83826E: Design for EtherCAT

Part Number: DP83826E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28388S,

Hi Team,

I designed EtherCAT module with TMS320F28388S.

Reference circuit was MCU063B(003)_Sch. The DP83822 was out of stock, so I opted to use DP83826E.

Unfortunately the designed board was not working. So I have several questions:

1. Circuit design for TD_P and TD_M
  - I put the 49.9 resistors with 3.3V. But I found difference point at snla344b.
  - is there a difference between DP83288 and DP83826 for TD+ and TD-?

2. Strap configuration
  - there was a example for strap pin configuration for EtherCAT [snla344b].
    I designed it as below configuration.

   strap 0 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   strap 1 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   strap 2 : 0 [EtherCATport 0] --> pull-down 2.49K
                 1 [EtherCATport1]  --> pull-up 2.49K
   strap 3 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   strap 4 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   strap 5 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   strap 6 : 1 --> pull-up 2.49K
   strap 7 : 1 --> pull-up 2.49K
   strap 8 : 1 --> pull-up 2.49K
   strap 9 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   strap 10 : 0 --> pull-down 2.49K
   pin 1: NC or pull-up --> NC

Can we ask for your help in checking if the strap configuration is correct? Also, how do I connect the TD_P and TD_N?

Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,

Jejomar
