TS3DV642: DPv1.4 cascade application for the resolution is 4K 120Hz or 8K 30Hz

Hi Sir,

My customer will use the TS3DV642 to do the DPv1.4 cascade application for the resolution is 4K 120Hz or 8K 30Hz shown as below figure.

The input cable uses the standard type, and uses VIA to signal plane at the input of 1st TS3DV642 and the output of 2nd TS3DV642.

For the integrity of the signals, can they remove all DPv1.4 re-timer devices on the input of 1st TS3DV642?

    Hi,

    This would depend on the compensation capability of DP re-timer at the output of 2nd TS3DV642. When removing re-timer devices on the input of 1st TS3DV642, the DP re-timer at the output of 2nd TS3DV642 needs to compensating for all the trace and two TS3DV642 loss at its input.
