DS90UB927Q-Q1: Can use Coax with 948?

Hello Team,

I have quick question.

I understand 927+928 doesn't support Coax.

Because customer requires Coax due to cost, I want to know if 927+948 can use Coax cable.I understand this is depend on receiver capability.

Could you pls help me to know this??

Hello Harry,

Since 927 does not support coax this will not work robustly. It is actually both sides we are concerned about here for compatibility because we also have the bidirectional control channel in play. So we can not recommend this option.

However we do have 947 -> 948 which can support coax and OLDI on both sides as an alternative.

Well noted. 947 is a little more expensive than 927 even it is very tiny.

Let me suggest 947 to customer as your advice.
