DP83TC812R-Q1: Mode - TX_OFF and SCRAMBLER_OFF

Hello Team,

customer is asking for support of mode TX_OFF and SCRAMBLER_OFF as described in AUTOSAR function 'EthTrcv_30_Core_setPhyTxMode'.

Is there a register description how tow acitivate these modes? Cutomer cannot find this information in the datasheet.

Hi Josef,

AUTOSAR drivers are developed by Vector and we do not have the files to check what 'EthTrcv_30_Core_setPhyTxMode' function does and the register read/ writes performed. I would recommend reaching out to Vector on the implementation of this modes and driver.

Hello,

apparently these modes are needed for testing TC8 compliance. In particular, for the MDI Return Loss test.
E.g., NXP describes how to setup this test for one of their PHYs by configuring the PHY as slave. See section 6.6.1 in www.nxp.com/.../AN13236.pdf
So the question is how the DP83TC812R-Q1 should be configured for the MDI Return Loss test?

For MDI Return Loss test the PHY has to be configured in the Slave Mode and the tests are run using a spectrum analyzer. No further register writes are required.
