DP83867E: replacing DP83867E with DP83869HMRGZT

We have a product with 2x DP83867ERGZ. Due to stock issues, I need to consider replacing this part with DP83869HMRGZT

At a first glance the two parts look very similar, however a few pins like the MDIO are moved around.

Internally can you tell me how close these two designs are? I don't want to introduce a very different part and have to endure the months of debug that I went through on the original DP83867E .

This part will be interfacing with an FPGA and configured via the MDIO interface

Any details would be appreciated

Hi Diarmuid,

DP83869HM has similar internal architecture as DP83867ERGZ, but DP83869HM support more functionality.

You can also check DP83867IS/CS as replacements as they are almost similar.

My understanding is that the supply of DP83867E has become better now. Let me check with our team and get back to you on the supply.

Thanks for the reply. Any update on the supply would be gratefully accepted. All variants in the RGZ package are showing as massive lead times for us. Effectively end of the year.
