How does DS90UB933 know the sensor bit width, RAW12 or RAW10?

I found that 0x05 register of DS90UB933 is used to configure 10bit or 12bit.

Does custom need to config this register before sensor image stream on by himself?

Or, this register is configured by DeSerdes chip (like: DS90UB960) automatically. The information of bit width is told to DeSerdes chip by "Mode" pin.

    HI Leon,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    In the DS90UB933 device you would need to set register 0x05 (Mode Select) to the correct configuration 10-bit or 12-bit mode.

    For the DS90UB960 you can strap the MODE_SEL pin to the correct configuration.
