Our customer have questions about how to use DP83TC814R-Q1 in RMII application.
Would you answer following questions?
- Could we ignore RX_ER pin from the view point of MAC operation?
I suspect that they don't need to monitor if there is any requirement due to datasheet said RX_ER isn't required RMII specification.
But I'd like to confirm about this just in case.
Also, it is helpful if you can answer this based on they will use this device with our Sitara. - Would you tell me how to configure XI pin at RMII application?
Customer's application has possibility work as not only master but also slave in development.
Datasheet p158 Figure 9-2 showed typical application at RMII slave but it has 2 port of XI.
it make difficulty to understand how to treat XI in RMII.
