TCAN1145-Q1: FSM Questions

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1

Hi Team,

For TCAN1145, can you help with below questions:

  1. How does TCAN1145-Q1 quit FSM when failure is revolved/disappear?
    1. Does it quit automatically?
    2. what happen to the relative registers?
  2. If we Disable FSM, if failure occur, can TCAN1145 still recover to normal mode?
    1. The customer seems to disable FSM mode in their design. And they are trying to find a way to get back to normal when failure occur.

Thank you very much!

  • Henry,

There is a state diagram on page 29 that explains behavior of a fault condition when FSM is enabled and disabled. Please refer to this when understanding state transitions of this device.

If FSM is disabled, the device will transition into Sleep mode once the fault condition is gone. From sleep mode, the customer can write the registers to transition into Normal mode, or force a WAKE event into Standby mode. Again though, that's only if the fault condition has been removed.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
