TCAN1051GV-Q1: - ISO16845-2 Ver.2018 and IEC62228-3 Ver.2019

Part Number: TCAN1051GV-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1051, TCAN1044A-Q1, TCAN1051-Q1, TCAN1042-Q1

Hi team,

Regarding TCAN1051GVD*Q1, does this meet below requirement?
- ISO16845-2 Ver.2018
- IEC62228-3 Ver.2019

TCAN1057AV-Q1 shows it passes both in the datasheet, but 1051gv datasheet doesn't mention it.

Thank you.

Regards,
Hirata

  • Hirata-san,

Yes, TCAN1051GVDQ1 meets both requirements as well. You can find the documentation on our Field Sharepoint at trx/ in your browser when on the TI network. From there you will navigate to the CAN folder, then RTM devices, then the TCAN1042/TCAN1051 folder where our EMC reports are held. IEC6228 is the Zwickau report, and ISO16845 is the C&S conformance report.

  • Hello Eric-san

    Thank you for your answer.

I've checked the report as you mentioned.

    Customer mentioned as below.

    - ISO16845-2 Ver.2018
    - IEC62228-3 Ver.2019

Regarding IEC62228, It looks this test report is generated 2016. (I refer to the TRX sharepoint - TCAN1042 and TCAN1051 -  EMC test report - IBEE Zwickau)

If there is new new revision in 2019, it seems it is not compliant with IEC62238-3 Ver.2019...?? In the Zwickau report does it mention the version?? How to differentiate the revision?

Regarding C&S, It this says ISO 16845-2: 2017. (I refer to the TRX sharepoint - TCAN1042 and TCAN1051 -  EMC test report - conformance report)

    It is different from - ISO16845-2 Ver.2018??

Regarding TCAN1044A-Q1, Is says version 2018.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Hirata

  • Hirata-san,

The TCAN1042-Q1 and TCAN1051-Q1 were developed and released prior to these updates. Regardless of that, these devices are still certified and approved to work at all OEMs that accept these documents. I don't know the explicit differences between the updates of these specifications, but the updates made in the later versions of these specifications did not negate their certification after the fact.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
