TCAN4551-Q1: nWKRQ pin

Part Number: TCAN4551-Q1

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to confirm if a pull-up resistor to Vio (1.8V) is placed on pin nWKRQ (pin 2), is it guarantee that the output level will not exceed Vio, even briefly, before the pin is configured in open drain output?

Regards,

Danilo

  • Danilo,

Prior to configuration, the nWKRQ output defaults to an internal 3.6V reference. Upon power-up, this pin will be in a low state since it asserts due to the PWRON flag, and if the flag isn't cleared, it should stay low even when transitioning into Standby mode. In that case, the customer should be able to configure the nWKRQ pin for VIO configuration prior to it ever going high, and then it will reference the 1.8V pull-up to VIO for the remainder of operation, or until that configuration is changed.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
