TCAN4551-Q1: Ivio if Vio is 1.8V

Part Number: TCAN4551-Q1

Hi Team,

Page 5 of the datasheet of TCAN4551-Q1 shows the Ivio is 3mA max at 5V. I understand that the VIO supplies the SPI IO, GPO1, GPO2 and oscillator block. Our customer would like to know the Ivio if the Vio = 1.8V.

Regards,

Danilo

  • Danilo,

Thanks for bringing this to E2E. Just so we have this information, what is the application here?

Looking over the characterization data, when VIO = 1.8V, the maximum current consumption is ~0.133mA. This is for the case when an clock input is used for the oscillator. Note that 1.8V VIO cannot be used if a crystal is used for the OSC1 and OSC2 pins, VIO must be 3.3V or 5V in that case.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
