DS90UB941AS-Q1: Double-screen display problem

Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1

Hi TI

Can DS90UB941 be used to realize one channel of MIPI input and two channels of FPD-Link III output to realize the image output of two screens (the display data of the two screens are not the same)?

The resolution of the two screens is 1920 * 1080, 60 frames. The customer is worried about insufficient bandwidth.

  • Hi Rain,

The 941AS can only support up to 105MHz per channel (210MHz total in dual mode). So if the PCLK for this resolution is higher than that, then this is not supported. There is a splitter mode that can do the configuration you are describing, so long as the PCLK is within the supported range.

    Regards,

    Ben

  • Hi Ben

           Thank you for your support.

The customer evaluated that at least 200MHz is required for each channel. So at present, 941 can't meet the customer's needs. Is there any other suitable product recommendation?

The customer requires that one channel of MIPI to two channels of PD-LINK, and each channel is required to be greater than 200MHz.

  • Hi Rain,

We don't have any publicly available parts that support that PCLK. Please reach out to your TI sales representative if you would like to know more about our roadmap or other devices that may not be publicly available.

    Regards,

    Ben
