Common PCB layout for TFP410/403 - decoupling caps

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TFP410, TFP403

Hello,

I'm trying to do a common PCB layout for the TI TFP410/403.  I see in the PanelBus TFP403.TFP410 EVM User Guide that 0.01uf capacitors were used for decoupling the TFP403 on the EVM board but 0.1uf caps are used for the TFP410. How critical is the value for the decoupling caps? We would prefer to use the same value (0.1uf) for both the 403 & the 410 if possible. Would you advise against this approach?  What effect would you expect in using 0.1uf caps in place of the 0.01uf caps on the TFP403?

Thanks again!

Paul
