SN75179B: About “Thermal Information” of datasheet Rev E(Old version)

Hi Team,

Currently, I use SN75179BPSR.

Could you please send me “Thermal Information” of datasheet Rev E(Old version)”?

I have received a PCN.

(Comment : Changed the Thermal Information table)

However, I don't have the old datasheet, so I can't confirm the difference.

By the way, I have datasheet of REVISED JUNE 1998.

However, I don't think this is a Rev E.

Because, Rev E is June 2008 in new datasheet(Rev F) and there isn’t PS package thermal Information.

Is my understanding correct?

I’d greatly appreciate your verification.

Hi Hide,

So there seems to be a linking issue - the June 1998 Rev E. is the correct version for Rev E - this is the datasheet that was updated.

The old datasheet did not include thermal information for the PS package. Our current standards have us include thermal information for our devices - so the thermal information was changed and it is now listed. This is additional information that was added to our datasheet for the new material - our old material this value wasn't specified.

Yes it seems to be a typo as the last rev was in 1998 not 2008.
