LMH0394: Do we have such a device to support the SDI to CML?

Our customers want a device support the SDI to CML. The more details are shown below. Could you please recommend a device?

Hi Nan,

LMH0394, LMH0324, or LMH0397. Would work for this application. Customer use any of these parts. Please note 100-ohm output requires AC coupling to the FPGA or ASIC.

Hi Nasser,

Thanks for your recommend. But i did not find that LMH0324,394,397 could support output in CML in their datasheet.Could you please help me to confirm theses?

Hi Nan,

These parts require AC coupling on its high speed input and output. AC coupling allows interface to the CML interface. This is because AC coupling isolated common mode voltages.

Thanks for your reply.

After talking with customers, they have used LMH3044 before.So they want to know that whether the LMH3044 could support input on SDI and output on differential CML(Current Mode Logic)?

And could you please tell me what the differences between LMH0394, LMH0324, LMH0397, and LMH3044 are? That would be better for us to recommend device.

Hi Nan,

Yes LMH0344 can support SDI on input and CML on output. Please make sure customer uses AC coupling on the outputs.

There are differences between these devices - please note data sheet. LMH0344 was the first generation of the 3G SDI and then we had LMH0394, LMH0324, and LMH0397 respectively.
