DS90UB933-Q1: About the Problem of Power Sequence

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Dear,

When we read the data manual of DS90UB933-Q1, we found that there are requirements for power sequence, as shown in the figure below?

We would like to know why the max power sequence of PDB cannot exceed 16ms?

If it exceeds 16ms, what will be the problem?

And what is the maximum power-on time allowed by the power supply?

  • Hello,

We would like to know why the max power sequence of PDB cannot exceed 16ms?

The 0 to 16 ms specification given by the datasheet is the working range for the internal PLL of the device. If this range is exceeded, there is a possibility that that the PLL may not function as expected, which would prevent communications from taking place on the forward channel.

If it exceeds 16ms, what will be the problem?

As mentioned above, exceeding the specification may cause the PLL to not function as expected.

Additionally, I would also like to mention that if you are unable to meet the 0 to 16 ms specification, the datasheet does provide an alternate solution. Please refer to the screenshot below for details about this alternate solution, which can also be found in Section 8.1.2 of the datasheet.

And what is the maximum power-on time allowed by the power supply?

Could you provide more details about what you are referring to with this question? Are you asking about the maximum amount of time it takes to complete all of the power sequencing steps, or are you asking if there is a specification for the maximum amount of time that power is supplied to the device?

    Regards,

    Kenneth
