TCAN1145-Q1: INH Pin State While VCC And VIO Are Off

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1

Hello,

I'd like to ask a question about the IHN pin function of TCAN1145-Q1.

  • What's the state of the INH pin while only VSUP is supplied and VCC and VIO are turned off?
    • Is the gate signal INH_CNTL of the internal FET switch of the INH pin in Figure 10-3 of the data sheet turned on under this supply condition?

Best regards,
Shinichi Yokota

  • Shinichi-san,

When an undervoltage occurs on VCC or VIO, the device transitions into either fail-safe mode or sleep mode as described in data sheet section 10.4.7.6.1 UVSUP, UVCC.

In fail-safe mode, INH is on, but in sleep mode, INH is off. You can also find this information in Table 10-1 Mode Overview.

Hopefully this helps - let me know if we can help explain any further.

    Best,

    Danny
