DP83869HM: 1000 Mbps/full-duplex fixed communications

Part Number: DP83869HM

Hi Team,

My customer is using DP83869HM RGMII to Copper.

It is my understanding that Auto Negotiation can be turned off for 1000Base-T communication and fixed 1000Mbps/full duplex.

My customer will not link up if Auto Negotiation is turned off and 1000Mbps/full duplex fixed communication is used for the other side.

Of course, the opposing device is also set to 1000Mbps/full duplex fixed mode.

Is this behavior correct?

What is your technique for doing this with 1000 Mbps/full duplex fixed communications?

The following did not communicate.

 Write 0x0140 to register 0h // BMCR

 Write 0x0200 to register 9h // GEN_CFG1 Advertise 1000Base-T Full Duplex ability

Write 0x5008 to register 10h // PHY_CONTROL Manual MDI configuration

Best Regards,

Kenji
