Hi TI team

I am planning to use TFP401A to convert HDMI from Raspberry Pi to 24-bit RGB data (OLED module Sony - ECX336CN).

on ECX336CN, core module operates at 1.8V. since TFP401 core module is also powered by 1.8V, no level shifter is required for RGB data. is it correct?

Hi,

TFP401A listed test condition for IOH and IOL at VOH of 2.4V and VOL of 0.8V. So you do need a level shifter to interface to the 1.8V ECX336CN.

Is there any alternative HDMI to RGB converter from TI available which can support 1.8V?

or what is the best level shifter for high speed RGB?

Hi,

The AXC family is a good recommendation for level shifter depending on the channel count . For example, SN74AXCxT245 with x being the number of channels, 4 channel count as SN74AXC4T774.

thanks for your help.

the PCB is supposed to be tiny, so might not be able to fit 6 of these level shifters (24 channel).

I need a HMI to 24-bit RGB converter which supports 1.8V.

Hi,

I moved your question to our level shifter group for their recommendation on level shifter. But we do not have a HDMI to 1.8V RGB solution in our product portfolio.
