TUSB8020B-Q1: How to determine the storage space size of external EEPROM of TUSB4020BI-Q1 and TUSB8020B-Q1?

Hope you are doing well!

My customer is evaluating our TUSB8020B-Q1 and TUSB4020BI-Q1.

From their datasheets, they both need to use an external EEPROM.

When customer design the circuit schematic, how should they choose the external EEPROM for these two devices? Especially the storage space size?

EEPROM is optional, both hubs can work without EEPROM.

If they do want to use EEPROM, please see below table for the EEPROM recommendation.

According to my understanding, if customers need PID and VID information, it can also be realized through OTP ROM?

Correct, you can also use external EEPROM to implement your own VID and PID.

For TUSB8020B-Q1 and TUSB4020BI-Q1 power up requirements, the minimum value of Td1 is 0 ms.

Does it means VDD33 and VDD can be powered on at the same time?

If it can be powered on at the same time, it will save a power switch for the customer's design.

Or is there still a recommended power-on delay?
