Hi Gurusamy,
Are the LVDS part and RS-422 part going to be on the same board/bus at the same time ?
Also I what are the needs beyond voltage supply - what is the data rate, how many nodes, how long is the bus for RS-422 communication.
LVDS and RS-422 are generally not compatible and are not interchangeable - they have similar architectures but ultimately are used for different application use cases.
Best,
Parker Dodson
I never had a design where a differential bus pair be both RS-422 and TIA-EIA-644 compatible. Even the termination resistors across the differential bus usually differ between the two. It even is more problematic if this designed on a multidrop (ie RS-485 versus TIA-EIA-899 type 1) and/or bidirectional differential bus.

I hope, there is some miscommunication.
Actually we need RS422 driver and reciever with footprint compatible of LVDS driver and receiver (ie., RS422 driver part should be replaceable with LVDS driver or Vice versa, same for RS422 receiver also).
Please suggest the parts for the below requirement,
1.RS422 driver and LVDS driver- Both should have same footprint and pin configuration compatibility.
2.RS422 reciever and LVDS receiver - Both should have same footprint and pin configuration compatibility.
3.Datarate for RS422 shall be 10 to 20Mbps and LVDS shall be 600Mbps.
4. Quad or octal channel shall be preferred.
(Note:Only footprint and pin configuration compatibility required. RS422 Driver and reciever not required to comply with TIA-EIA-644.)

Gurusamy
The DS90LV032A has the same footprint as the AM26LV32, and the DS90LV031A or SN65LVDS31 the same as the AM26LV31. But these LVDS devices support only 400 Mbps.
Hi Gurusamy,
Sorry about the confusion - there has been a few RS-422 + LVDS use cases that I have been working on recently so I misread the intention of your goal.
The AM26LV32 and AM26LV31 are probably our best parts for the RS-422 needs and has the best chance of being footprint compatible - the parts Clemens listed are compatible but have a slower speed than requested.
I am going to loop in our LVDS experts (I am more focused on RS-422/485/232 so I am not as well versed in our LVDS portfolio) to see if they have faster versions of LVDS devices that are compatible with the quad channel RS-422 receiver / driver.

Hello Gurusamy,
Unfortunately, we don't have quad-channel, 600 Mbps LVDS drivers and receivers that are compatible with AM26LV32 and AM26LV31. Our best solution here would be the DS90LV032A and DS90LV31A but as Clemens mentioned these devices only go up to 400 Mbps.

Josh
Hi Salinas,
Thanks for your valuable feed back. We need another one requirement as given following.
RS422 Transceiver (Tx/Rx) Part Required for the below requirement.
1. We need the single/Quad/Octal channel Half duplex RS422 Transceiver (Eighter Tx/Rx Configurable option required with individual Tx & Rx Enable (DE/RE)) with LVDS foot print compatible ((ie., RS422 Transceiver part should be replaceable with LVDS Transceiver or Vice versa)
2.Datarate for RS422 shall be 10 to 20Mbps and LVDS shall be 600Mbps.
3.Quad or octal channel shall be preferred
Kindly suggest the suitable part.
Regards,
Gurusamy M
There are no half-duplex LVDS transceivers.
As far as I can see, there are no other LVDS and RS-422 receivers, transmitters, or transceivers with compatible pinout.
