Hi Team,

The end customer has requested that the operating ranges on CAN bus require a specification of 70V. Is there any support for future new products roadmap?

    Hi Kevin,

    The TCAN1042 is a single channel CAN transceiver that can support +-70V bus fault tolerance. Such a transceiver can be used with TCAN4550 in controller mode in order to break out the TXD and RXD signals from the CAN controller for use with an external transceiver. See datasheet section 8.4.4 for details. 

    Note that despite the name "test mode", this functionality is intended to be used in end applications so that external transceivers may be supported in the final design.
