SN65DSI86-Q1: Hot plug error

Part Number: SN65DSI86-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65DSI86

Hi Team,

Customer found when back-end port performs hot plug quickly several times, the SN65DSI86 shows error and can’t process HPD interrupts normally.

Do SN65DSI86 support quick and continuous hot plug?

Thank you!

Marc

Have they measured HPD pulse? A HPD_REMOVAL event is defined as a change that causes the HPD state to transition from INSERTION state to the REMOVAL state. A HPD_INSERT event is defined as a change that causes the HPD state to transition from the REMOVAL state to the INSERTION state. The REPLUG event is caused by the sink deasserting HPD for more than 2 ms but less than 100 ms.

    Thanks
