DS90UB948-Q1: one channel FPD-link ||| configuration

Hi everyone,

I have a question about using the DS90UB948 in a one channel FPD-3 link configuration.

In the specifications it states that when using one FPD-LINK III channel, the other should be left open,

but the requirement is that all inputs of IC are defined at a fixed level and not floating.

Can this requirement be met?

Hi Kavita,

Yes they can be left as no connect if you are not using that RIN port.

It's still not clear for me if all inputs of IC can be defined at a fixed level, which means they are not floating.

Hello Kavita,

You can terminate the unused RIN pins using 100nF capacitors and 50ohm resistors to GND.
