DS160PT801: Thermal Design Power (TDP) consideration

Hi team,

In our design we are doing the thermal simulation of our project in which TI part DS160PT801 (PCIe Retimer) is used. Based on our initial simulations we are observing that the IC is operating at a very high Tj value We have considered 6.2W power consumption i.e. the max value as per the datasheet (At 16.0 GT/s with CTLE enabled, DFE enabled, Tx FIR enabled, and VOD = 1100 mVppd.)

Is any specific Thermal Design Power(TDP) value need to be considered for thermal simulation.(Like Typ power 4.9W- At 16.0 GT/s with CTLE enabled, DFE enabled, Tx FIR enabled, and VOD = 1100 mVppd)
