Thanks for the reference Linux driver.

We've modified some driver for windows and established communication with the DP83826. But we have noticed that the link is up between the devices, but the auto-negotiation process is not completing successfully. 

Initialization process:

BMCR|= 0x8000;
while(BMCR & (0x8000));

BMCR|= 0x1000;

ANAR|= 0x01E1;

BMCR|= 0x200;

BMSR = 0x784D;

PHYSTS = 0x1003;

Could you please provide some guidance on how we can troubleshoot this issue further?

This write "BMCR|= 0x200;" is disabling auto-negotiation. Please remove this write and let me know the results.

What is the link partner and what speeds is it advertising?

Hi David, 

By removing "BMCR|= 0x200;" still have the same issue and the link also gone off. 

Link partner is enterprise switch and working on at the speed of 1000 Mbps.

Hi Nilesh,

After both sides are booted up, can you try writing register 0x1F = 0x4000.

Please send me a register dump from 0x00 - 0x1F. This will be helpful in debugging this issue.
