HD3SS3412: AC Coupling capacitors for display port source

Hi, in the TPS65988evm schematics, there are no series ac caps for the display port connector. I am using HD3SS3412 as display port switching but I am connecting the IC to the display port source directly, with no connectors. Do I need to place ac caps for the dp lines and aux line or not? Thank you.

Hi Brian, thank you for the recommendation but can't I use HD3SS3412 for switching too? Do I need to place ac caps between the switch and the GPU if I use it?

you do need to place AC cap on either side off mux. You need tot bias AUX channel as well.
