TLK2711-SP: datasheet specifying characteristic impedance of each trace or differential impedance between the pair

Hello,

I have a question about signal routing on the TLK2711-SP.

 The datasheet specifies “Routing should be 50-Ω matched impedance and length for differential transmit and receive”

And Figures 8.4.2 and 8.4.3 show termination networks with two 50-Ω resistors between the differential signals.


Thus, I believe the datasheet is specifying the characteristic impedance of each trace, not the differential impedance between the pair. Is that correct?
