TPD1E04U04: HDMI 2.1

Part Number: TPD1E04U04
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD1E01B04,

Hi  team,

I looked the the promotion slide and see you recommend TPD1E01B04 on USB3.2, and  TPD1E04U04 on HDMI 2.0.

1. is this because TPD1E01B04 has lower cap value so it's more suitable for higher speed (USB)?

2. may I know your naming rule? for example ,TPD1E04U04 . what's  04U04 means?  what's difference between U and B?

I have a product promotion to my customer tomorrow but I don't know the naming rule it's quite confused.

  • Hi Fred,

    1. Yes the TPD1EO1B04 has a lower capacitance so it is better suited for higher speed signals in USB3.2 (up to 10 Gbps).

    2. Our naming conventions will be organized by family. For the TPD devices the U will indicate a uni-directional device and the B indicates a bi-directional device.

    Regards,

    Sebastian
