Are you referring to the 75-ohm SDI input? Or the 100-ohm input?

The customer is referring to 100ohm input at Vin pin of LMH1297RTVT.

Thanks for clarifications.

Input eye diagram could be closed and device still can do ISI compensation to take care of this.

Typically in our data sheet we specify launch amplitude at certain trace length. So as long as your launch amplitude meets following requirement this should be fine.
