SN75ALS181: Regarding NC pin connection to Vcc/GND

Part Number: SN75ALS181

I have a question about NC pin connection of SN75ALS181NS.

  • Is there any problem if we connect No.1 NC pin to Vcc?   If yes, what kind of problem is it?
  • Is there any problem if we connect No.8 NC pin to GND? If yes, what kind of problem is it?

    Hi Yuto,

    I took a look at the bond diagram for this device and found that pin 1 and pin 8 are actually wired from the pin of the device to the actual die. This makes me suspect the NC pins are likely tied to some output and it is not recommended to connect them to either GND or Vcc.
