DS90UB638-Q1: Can 638 be used with 953?

Part Number: DS90UB638-Q1

 Hi team,

(1) The DS90UB638 specification only mentions that 635 and 633 serializers are supported, assuming other serializers are used, such as 953, is it supported?

(2)

In addition, the customer has another requirement:
TI deserializer requirements:
1. Can be paired with DS90UB953
2. Support BT656/601/1120 output
3. Support 1920*1080@60P transmission

In 2 MP camera applications, it can be paired with DS90UB953 or MAX96717 and supports BT656/601/1120 output deserializers.

Which one does BU recommend?

No, the 6xx devices can only be paired with other 6xx devices.

If you are using BT656 data type, our only deserializers that can support that (DS90UB914 or DS90UB934) will not be able to support that data rate. They have a max PCLK of 100MHz and are designed to support 1MP/60fps or 2MP/30fps cameras. You can refer to this E2E
