TI recommendation

Hello:

The following is a description of the chip requirements for the customer's self-developed camera product (in car OMS). Please help us make selection recommendations.

Option 1: Direct processing of vehicle grade PHY chips; YUV access, H.264/265 output

Option 2: After ISP processing, convert the YUV of the chip to RGMII/RMII output, and then output it by the PHY chip

  • Hi Jimmy,

This forum supports our interface devices for CAN, LIN, RS-485, I2C, etc. Do you know which of these physical interfaces is desired for this application? What is the desired data rate of the system?

Most of the devices that we support in this group are simple transceivers that convert a signal from the digital domain to the corresponding physical layer. We do not have any devices that CAN compress data on their own, so a separate IC would need to be used for this data handling.

If you are aware of an existing device that is similar to the feature set you're looking for here, please share it with me so we can better understand your requirements.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
