TCA9802: I/O support Open drain?

Hi Team,

Good day. I am posting this inquiry on behalf of the customer.

TCA9802 is this voltage I2C level translator with I/O support Opendrain?
Please confirm for me, Iam planning to use the above-shared part in my design, need to get confirm this thing.

I²C signals always are open drain. So all I²C devices, including the TCA9802, support open drain.

Hey Marvin,

Clemens' is correct here- I2C only has NMOS drivers which are only capable of pulling the data bus low (pullup resistors are required to have a valid "high" signal).
