DS90UB941AS-Q1: Could you please check the following questions?

Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1

1. Does TI have single-channel DSI interface Serdes?

2. Does the DSI support virtual channels? Can achieve a single DSI interface output dual PFD-link function?

3.Does TI have an interface chip with USB DP port to FPD-LINK?

  • Hi Xiaofu,

    1. Does TI have single-channel DSI interface Serdes?

For 941AS, you can select the number of DSI lanes you need to use for your interface through Mode_Sel straps.

    2. Does the DSI support virtual channels?

The 941 supports 4 virtual channels on the DSI. Please refer to section "8.4.6.4.2.2 Asymmetric Splitting With DSI VC-IDs" in the datasheet.

Can achieve a single DSI interface output dual PFD-link function?

Yes, it's possible to use single if lower BW or dual FPD-Link for higher BW to send the video through the FPD lanes.

3.Does TI have an interface chip with USB DP port to FPD-LINK?

We do have DP yes and we also have a newer DSI interface Ser.
