Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90CR285
Hi team,
My customer is using DS90CR285+286 for cameralink.
And they wonder how long superfine coaxial line can we support without influence the signal transmission quality?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Is this for a new project?

Hi Brian,
The Channel Link deserializer datasheet provides a specification called receiver skew margin (RSKM) that indicates the maximum amount of skew and jitter the deserializer can tolerate. You should choose a cable that does not violate this spec.
I recommend that you refer to this Channel Link design guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snla167/snla167.pdf?ts=1680814132361&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F
There is additional information on link margin, and there is also a Data Rate vs. Cable Length section where you can see the typical performance using 3M MDR cable assemblies.
Regards,
Cindy
