Recently , The IPK occurred flicker and snow screen issues between 947 and 948 on automotive products, software strictly follow errata spec 1v9, We fixed the issue happened in TI 947 IC by below validation steps:
1) Start at 75°C, IPK occurred snow screen when Temp drop to -26°C;
2) Drive 948 by clock & pattern model , output picture is ok
3) Validate through exchanging display with 948 , find that the failure phenomena always be caused by 947;
4) Utilize IIC command to Rewrite errata at snow screen , failuew recover , or reset OLDIPLL ,the failure also disappear .
5) Utilize IIC command to write 0x03 into 0x01 register in order to reset digital block , the failure disappear;
6) Validate through exchanging 947 IC , find that failure always follow TI 947
Please TI team to explain what is root cause ? if the 947 register value is changed? How can we find the solution to close this issue?
