Hello,

We want to use TUSB214 in I2C mode. There is an always on 3.3V bus that I2C pull-up resistors are connected. There are different I2C slaves on this bus, including TUSB214. On the other hand TUSB214 is supplied with an another 3.3V and can be shutdown independently. We would like to know how shutting down the TUSB214's power affects the I2C bus.

The I2C bus does not affect the shutdown of TUSB214.

Hi,

As I mentioned above, I don't think the shutdown of TUSB214 doesn't affect the I2C bus as high impedance of TUSB214. Did you have any issue about this before?

Hi,

We did not have any issue. We are on design stage. Since I2C pins have two functions (test purpose and CD), we just wanted to be sure about I2C pins are open or high impedance when the TUSB214's power is disabled. From your answer, I understand as they will be high impedance (when the power of TUSB214 is disabled) and I2C bus will not be affected.
