DP83867CS: Interfacing SGMII or RGMII to LVDS

Part Number: DP83867CS
I am trying to design a PCB to interface a Xilinx 7-series FPGA to an ethernet PHY over LVDS (Spacewire) using a Micro D9 connector, and was wondering if the DP83867CS using either SGMII or RGMII is a good choice and has the correct pinouts for what I'm trying to do.
  • Hi Hamilton,

We have not tested such a configuration, but it should theoretically be possible, since SGMII is LVDS. Unfortunately we cannot provide any data or recommendation for such a case, other than the cable should be as short as possible.

    Thanks,

    David
