Part Number: DS90UB953A-Q1
We are analyzing if we can change the camera serializer from 9023292AA (DS90UB953TRHBRQ1) to 9024567 (DS90UB935TRHBRQ1).
For that I performed the below anaylsis.
Could you please review the same and also help us with point no. 4.b ,6, 8 and 9?
| Sr No. | Comparison Considerations | Comment on difference between 953 and 935 |
| 1 | Drop in replacement? | Yes |
| 2 | Register differences? | No difference in the registers that we are currently using. |
| 3 | Clocking differences? | Internal AoN clock available. Note: Non-Synchronous Internal Clock, OSCCLK_SEL = 1 option not available in 935.We are not using this one. |
| 4 | Bandwidth? | Lower as compared to 953. 953: 3.328 Gbps CSI-2 Bandwidth 935: 2.528-Gbps CSI-2 Bandwidth |

| 13 | Diagnostics overlap? | 100% Both support Serializer Status and Monitoring, FC diagnostics and BC diagnostics.Registers used are also same. |
| 14 | FIxed Color Patterns. a. Are they same? |
Yes it’s the same. Both support 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit pixel formats. Same number of color bars and blocks are supported. |
| 15 | Compatibility with deserializer | Though datasheet doesn't list 962 in compatible deserializers. Got confirmation from TI that it is compatible. |
