DP83TC812EVM-MC: PMA test set up

Hi Team,

Could you pls help with below request and question?

1, Currently, we cannot measure the waveform, and the LED of the RJ45 does not flicker. Can you please help guide? Is this test set up complete? Can DP83TC812EVM be used as a DUT?

2，Have you tested this and can you please share the test data?

Hi Hailiang,

You should connect the test fixture to J11, not to J12.

Please refer to the diagram from the 812 EVM user’s guide.

May I ask what device is connected to J11 when you are testing the 100BASE-T1 physical layer?
What type of cable is connected to the J11 port?

J11 will be connected to your test board.

You will need a MATEnet connector that is compatible with J11 (# 9-2304372-1). You can use the Dacar 547 cable.

Once you have your cable, you will have to rework it so that you can connect it to your test board. You do this by cutting the cable at one end and then taking a RJ45 header and a RJ45 crimper to force the other end of the cable into the RJ45 header.
