TPD3S713-Q1: unused pins

Part Number: TPD3S713-Q1

Hi team,

Could you advise how to handle unused pins of TPD3S713-Q1?

Since I don't use cable compensation nor current sense monitoring, I don't use pins below.

Is it OK to just leave these pins OPEN?

- IMON

- CS

- ILIM_HI (only use ILIM_LO)

regards,

  • Hi Tsuji-san,

Thank you for reaching out us, below are my comments, thank you.

1, For the IMON pin, it is a current source output, if you don't use it, I recommend you short it to GND.

2, For the CS pin, it will drive a current from this pin, so it will be ok if you floating it.

3, For the ILIM_HI, actually they are independent current limit inside the device, so it should be ok if you floating it. Or another more reliable way is you reserve the same resistance with ILIM_LO, but depopulate it,.Then if you find any issue for floating the ILIM_HI, you can add it and not need to re-product the board.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Kuno
