Hello,
I'm trying to scope out a design where I will have a USB-C receptacle on one side and then route the nets to a USB-C plug. Essentially I'm trying to make a USB-C extender. Instead of routing all of the nets on the receptacle directly to the plug, I want to see if I can use a mux to reduce the number high speed USB traces.
In my design, I want the CC lines to pass through from the receptacle to the plug but I would like to know if the TUSB321 (or another product) can monitor the CC nets for cable orientation and control the mux. Any USB-PD or other communication that happens on the CC nets shouldn't be impacted.
