THS8200: THS8220 Output Loads

Part Number: THS8200

I am using DAC -THS8200 for generation of YHV and RGsB

From the datasheet, I came to know, Maximum Load connected to the DAC is 37.5R. I can provide output swing as same as other normal 150 Ohm (double-Terminated Loads). But there is no performance related metrices (Loop Response, Gain Faltness, Load Capacitance .....)

In my design, I need to connect multiple Loads(4) to single Output, which one do you recommend. Since there is no Spice or IBIs model to simulate this. In IBIS model, the analog outputs are assigned as power.

I have three approach, to design, Kindly recommend me one.

Snip is attached below:

Drawing1.tif

In Method 1, (2:2) Analog video amplifiers are used, where 2 inputs are shorted with single inputs. While in outputs, each has to drive two loads . Overall all i will have 1 inputs and 4 outputs.

In Method 2,  (4:4) Analog video amplifiers are used, where all 4 inputs are shorted with single inputs. While all 4 outputs will be connected to individual Loads.

In Method 3, single Channel is tapped to individual amplifiers. since it can support load of until 37.5Ohm.

On the above three methods, which one will you recommend to follow?

  • Hi Manikandan,
