DS90UB960-Q1: Register setting issue

Hi TI

       The customer of this chip used the first two cameras, the first RVC and the second DMS 100W camera. Currently, only the first channel has image data and the second channel has no data output. Could you please help check if there is a problem with the register configuration? The customer needs a second image that can also be output.

  • Hi Rain,

    • It looks like the serializer on RX port 1 is in the wrong mode. It is configured to CSI-2 mode with a back channel rate corresponding to asynchronous mode (Register 0x6D = 0x7C, Reg 0x58 = 0x5A). However, they are still trying to configure registers 0x70 and 0x7C to get in RAW10 YUV422 8-bit mode. Make sure that the serializer is hardware strapped to RAW10 mode if this is the desired setting.
    • They also configured Register 0x72 to change the VCID mapping of incoming packets (VCID 1 remapped to 0, VCID 0 remapped to 1). I would confirm that this was intentional.
    • Also make sure their CSI-2 settings are what they are expecting: 1.6Gbps CSI-2 TX speed, all RX ports mapped to CSI TX port 0, CSI 4 lane mode with continuous clock enabled.
    • Also confirm that Register 0x7C is correctly configured. For port 0, they are processing the upper 8-bits (0x7C = 0xB4). For port 1, they are trying to process the lower 8-bits, and the other bits are also different from port 0, such as the frame valid polarity being switched in bit[0].
