DS26LS31C is having last time buy now - what is recommended replacement of DS26LS31C? Please also indicate if the proposed replacement is pin-to-pin drop-in. thanks.

PDN 20230217002.3 recommends the AM26LS31.

But the AM26C31 or DS26C31T are CMOS devices with lower power consumption.

Hi,

Per AM26LS31 datasheet, the device was introduced in 1979, even older than DS26LS31C.

Any newer part to recommend?

The AM device is older because the DS device was created as a clone of it:

The CMOS devices mentioned above are newer. If you have a 3.3 V supply, consider the AM26LV31E. But really modern transceivers are no longer made with four channels; you'd get only 1+1 devices like the THVD1500.

Hi PY,

Clemens is correct the "AM" device is our alternative. This is our most up to date part as this configuration isn't really one that is focused on too much these days (or for a decent amount of time - as many of these devices are decades old) - but it will be able to meet the needs that the DS26 device currently does in the system.
