DS90UB936-Q1: DS90UB936-Q1

Part Number: DS90UB936-Q1

Hi -

On page 157 of the DS90UB936-Q1 datasheet, it said the following “Ensure CSI trace length is matched within 5 mils for minimal intra-pair and pair-pair skew.  Do the pair-pair skew need to be ≤ 5 mils for the DS90UB936-Q1 device?

On page 156 of the DS90UB622-Q1 datasheet, it said the following “Ensure CSI trace length is matched with 5 ≤ mils intra-pair and ≤ 50 miles pair-pair skew.

Both devices support the CSI-2 data rate scalable for 400 Mbps / 800 Mbps / 1.2 Gbps / 1.5 Gbps / 1.6 Gbps per lane.

Please advise,

Thanks

  • Hi Lenny,

The exact length-matching range depends on factors such as your PCB stack-up, so we recommend that you length-match as close as possible and determine whether the inter- and intra-pair skew meets the MIPI D-PHY v1.2 specifications document. The <5mil intra-pair and <50 mil inter-pair suggestions in the datasheet are only general guidelines. You will ultimately need to make sure that the skew requirements are met with your specific PCB.

    Regards,
