Hi,
Is this for Window operating system to uniquely recognize the device so that it can load the appropriate driver software? But there is no driver associated with FP401A-Q1, so why do they need the PNP ID Registry?
Thanks
David
Hi Sir,
I apologize for didn't make this question clear enough, the customer's product is a display, so it needs an EDID code for the Window operating system to recognize the device.
Could they use the PNP ID code "TXN" on their product?
Hi,
Each manufacturer of Plug and Play devices must be assigned an industry-unique 3-character Vendor ID. Please contact Microsoft if they do not have one.
Thanks
David
