My customer would like to compare DS26LV31T and AM26LV31E.
The recommended maximum IOH/IOL are -30mA/+30mA at AM26LV31E.
How much are the recommended maximum IOH/IOL at DS26LV31T?

    Both devices are designed for a load of about 100 Ω … 120 Ω, and guarantee that the differential output voltage for this load is at least 2 V. (This is required by the RS-422 specification.)

    These values imply that the output current in this case is at least 20 mA. However, you do not use the current as a target to design your RS-422 bus; what matters is that you can use a termination resistor that matches the characteristic impedance of the transmission line (which is 100 Ω or 120 Ω).

    The test conditions in the DS26LV31T datasheet do not cover any case in which the output current would be larger than 30 mA. So the AM26LV31E can replace the DS26LV31T.
