TUSB212: USB Can't Detect

Part Number: TUSB212

Hi expert,

My customer also have similar problem as the post

TUSB212: USB Host mode is not recognized

Sometimes can detect USB but sometimes can't. Is there any power up/down sequence need to be noticed? Or any other advise?

Vcc is stable before RTN de-assertion.

Regards,

Allan

  • Hi Allan,

Below is a comment after the review for the schematic. (It was considered DNI as *** symbol)

    • SDA & SCL pins - 4.7k ohm pull-up resistor is required for I2C mode. If it is non-I2C mode, the pins must be floating or connected to ground directly.

There is a possibility that there will be too many gain. (AC boost level 2 & DC boost level high) Did you try the lower gain settings to pass the eye diagram? Please double-check that the test fixture is connected to TUSB212 before enable the source to send the TEST_PACKET. You can refer to Test Procedure to Construct USB High Speed Eye Diagram section in datasheet or the app note. (TUSB21xx High-Speed Signal Quality Test Modes)

Vcc is stable before RTN de-assertion.

It follows the TUSB212 switching characteristics as below.

    Best,

    Josh
